Shipping Associate

HOURS: Mon-Fri (1pm-9:30pm)

Starting Pay is $15.50 / hour with a 50 cent increase after 90 days.



Under supervision and using established procedures, ensures that trucks are loaded, trays and dollies are unloaded properly. Follows all GMP's and insures hands are cleaned and sanitized at all times. Ensures the production of safe, high quality product. Promotes good company morale. Report any equipment and/or people issues. Insures all checklist and required forms are filled correctly in a timely manner. Complete all tasks deemed necessary by supervisors



Performs some of the following:

  1. Unloads/loads trailers as they arrive.
  2. Keep docks clean, removing any empty trays and pallets.
  3. Offloads any ingredients or other material that may be delivered.
  4. Checks and records ingredients received in company inventory management system.
  5. Sweeps out and loads trucks according to load sheets, scanning stacks and/or pallets, as they are loaded.
  6. Completes load sheets, trailer inspection documentation, BOL's, and/or intercompany manifest for all outbound loads.
  7. After load is complete, checks that the pallets on the trailer correspond to the number on the load sheet, manifest, and/or BOL.
  8. Turns in load sheets, B.O.L., and in other forms completed during shift.
  9. Throws away all empty boxes and bags.
  10. Receives, dates, applies inventory-tracking labels, and places raw materials in designated storage area.
  11. Ensures proper rotation of product (first-in/first-out).
  12. Notifies Supervisor/ Department Manager of any equipment problems immediately.
  13. Monitors quality of the product, package seal, trays, dollies and coding.
  14. Checks for proper nesting of trays.
  15. Keep entire area clean at all times.
  16. Perform Sanitation duties as needed and assigned by Supervisor.
  17. Performs any other job deemed necessary by Supervisor.



Position is in an industrial setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions, as well as Good Manufacturing Processes compliance. Will be pushing and pulling stacks of product that may weigh as much as 250 lbs. May lift materials weighing up to fifty (50) pounds on a recurring basis.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of baking processes, equipment and terminology is desired. Ability to process large volumes of repetitive work to meet established deadlines is required. Ability to lift heavy materials weighing up to fifty (50) pounds may be required. Experience with motorized pallets jacks and electric standup forklifts.


Education and Experience:

Completion of high school and/or equivalent education or experience in job related activities is required.
